The Martyrs of Communism project is an innovative project using new liturgy, hymns, history, journalism, documentaries, holy cards, short videos, poetry, plays, painting and educational materials to remember the heroic witness of those who suffered and died rather than give in to the demands of Communist regimes.
It launched with a Hymn for the Martyrs of Ukraine as part of Frank La Rocca’s “Requiem for the Forgotten,” a new Mass setting, on March 15, 2024 at the Epiphany Church in Miami, Florida, continued with a Holy Hour at St. Patrick’s Seminary featuring a magnificent “Hymn for the Martyrs of Chinese Communism. Archbishop Cordileone has emerged as a leader in making the case for remembering what Marxism meant and means for faith, with multiple articles and talks highlighting the martyrs and white martyrs of Communism.
