orn during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, when musicians were unable to gather and pray together in person, Dr. Nowakowski created this work as a virtual choir, setting the words of the great Catholic writer G. K. Chesterton to new music.

The performance above was presented as part of the Benedict XVI Institute’s annual Very Marian Advent Prayer Service, a service of prayer and sacred music centered on a simple but powerful idea: waiting with Mary through the last difficult month of her pregnancy for the birth of her Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
